 24in. x 36in. Acrylic painting, Copyright 2009 Hello everyone  Thank you for viewing my painting, I hope you like it. This is one of the first paintings that I've done since River of Light. I have several sketches ready to be painted and two are on canvases right now so I will get to painting on those soon. Of course my girlfriend helped inspire me again, she is the reference for the woman on the tree. She is a beautiful model, I love her  As for the background I just started drawing one day, letting my imagination go wild. It was the sketch that inspired me the most so I painted it first. If you watch me many of you may know that color and light is very important to me. I try my best to make them reflect a mood that makes you feel. I hope this painting does that for you. The tree is something that just happened. I wanted to make rough bark, kind of flaky but it kind of came out looking rather cozy like you would love to lay on it and look off to sunset shining down on you The path running through the rock and tree hopefully draw you in and enchant you. I made the woman appear as though she is watching and waiting for travelers to pass on through Anyway, that is how I see it. Create your own story and enjoy. I will continue on to the next and as always hone my style making better and better paintings. I LOVE TO CREATE!!!God Bless, Jon and Becca |
